We specialise in using reclaimed timber to create unique, rustic interiors and garden buildings. This is a completely bespoke service and we can be as creative as you wish. We will work with you to create a specific look, or we will suggest ideas and design something from scratch. We always try and use reclaimed timber, and, if we need to use freshly felled timber, we only source from sustainable forests.
OAK FRAMING
Green Oak Framing is the ancient craft of building structures from freshly cut Oak timber or trees. Tom trained in this traditional building method in Kent and worked on both restorations and new builds for 12 years.  We are currently only taking on small Oak projects- for example porches, garden rooms and smaller scale restoration work, but we will update this when we're able to take on larger projects, hopefully Spring 2022.
FURNITURE
We love creating one off, unique items of furniture. Whether it be using live edge timber or old pallets, we strive to make beautiful, one of a kind pieces. This can be a completely bespoke service, just get in touch if you have something in mind for a space. Alternatively, we have some items available for sale in our online shop. If you've seen something we've made in the past and would like another, we can replicate the design but everything will be slightly different due to the natural variations in the wood, and its past life if reclaimed! We believe this makes everything extra special and you'll know nobody else will have the same.
SPOONS AND ACCESSORIES
Twisted Root started with a single hand whittled spoon, and spoons will always remain a big part of our business. There is something wonderful and therapeutic about carving a spoon from a fallen or discarded branch. Our current available spoons can be found in our online shop. We also carve many other items, examples of which you can find in the gallery here. Please get in touch if you'd like to commission a one off piece.
